Also known as "El Elefante Blanco" or the "Ex Salvador Allende" Hospital - this daunting and abandoned building is located in the outskirts of Santiago, Chile.  It is surrounded by low income family housing. The Hospital project was stalled during the Pinochet dictatorship and was never completed. It was rumoured that this enormous concrete block, which has stood desolate for decades overshadowing backyards, and used as shelter by homeless and vandals, is proposed for a mall.
